Ping Lau's Legal Notice For Counterfeiters

With so many of Ping Laus dolls being counterfeited it has come to this.

She has shared this legal notice with us all.

Ping puts so much love into creating these dolls, so it is sad that it has come to this.

But it is completely understandable.

“Friends, I’m sorry to have to post this legal warning from my lawyer but sadly, so much of my work has been stolen and counterfeited.

In 2020 alone, thieves stole and produced counterfeits of Adele, Mila, Juliana, Cammi, Naomi, Lea, Autumn and Santina.

Please share whatever you feel is appropriate and thank you for supporting sculptors and protecting the integrity of our art! 💖

“LEGAL WARNING

All of the creations of Ping Lau, as well as the doll kits for making them, are artistic works protected by copyright in the U.S.A. and internationally, in particular in all Member Countries of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works.

In addition, some of these creations are protected as designs with effects in the European Union.

Photographs may be shared, but may not be used for any commercial purposes.

Unauthorized copying, as well as importing and using unauthorized copies of the aforesaid doll kits, are unlawful acts, and legal action (including criminal action, where applicable) will be exercised, in the corresponding jurisdiction, against infringers.
