Happy Hippo reborns artist Karin Harris has taken some time to say a special thanks to some people that made her time at Rose special for her.
” We went to ROSE and had a great time! I love this show for the ability to make friends from all over the world and to see everyones unique artistic talent shine.
I would specifically like to thank a few people:
My mom Sally O’Leary for being my helper, my mom, and my best friend.
Jillian Jade De Cicco and her husband who own Little Ever After.
They have been good friends to me and have gone above and beyond in supporting me to learn to be a successful vendor at shows.
Marita Winter’s granddaughter Chelsea, for being such a super friend for Nicole.
Laurie Duncan from Pixie Mountain Creations for being Nicole’s Fairy, and gifting her a beautiful silicone cuddle baby that Cheryl Martin sculpted.
Nicole had the best time, and loved attending with me! ?
Sunday night after the show, I accidentally fell at my Airbnb.
I was going to my car late at night to get my cell phone charger.
I lost my footing and fell off a ledge of 3 ft.
I severely sprained my ankle and got bruised up which will require multiple weeks of healing.
I spent a few extra days hanging out in Salt Lake to heal some before being released by a medical Dr. to travel.
We are now home safely.
I feel very lucky that I was not injured more severely.
Due to the added expense of this accident, and the long distance it is to go to ROSE I have decided to opt out of attending next year.
My family and I have discussed my reserved table at Kansas.
With the support of my family, and friends, I am going to do everything I can to attend this show!
My inventory has been reduced after ROSE show so we will just have reborns and mohair in Kansas.
Thank you everyone!
The ROSE reborns I still have in inventory are available for sale.
If you saw one at ROSE, you must have, please message me and I’ll consider payment plans.
I will post professional pictures of the reborns available as soon as I can get back into the reborn studio.
Thank you for your patience as I heal.”
Due to her unexpected ending at the show it is safe to say that she didnt end the way she may have hoped.
However I hope she feels better soon and I look forward to seeing what she takes to the Kansas Doll Show.
