This amazing newborn baby boy, started out as the new ‘ Carla’ sculpt, by the
very talented sculpting artist Teresa De Castro.

I have used ‘the’ highest quality, non toxic materials while reborning Carla.

All of my photographs have been taken using natural daylight only,
in order that you get the closest possible likeness of the baby, without meeting him personally.

On that subject of pictures, may I also point out that I ‘never’ enhance my pictures in any way, apart from adding my nursery name and sometimes a decorative frame.

That is,– to be clear, the baby you see in the pictures is ‘the’ baby you will receive – Guaranteed!

The amazing skin tones on this little fellow have been achieved using my own
‘special’ blend of Genesis Heat Set paints, which are permanent and will not fade over time.

I have applied the paint in very thin transparent layers, producing this very,
very realistic newborn skin tone.

I have also added very Subtle veining
to the thinner parts of Carla’s skin.

Carla has the most amazingly detailed baby limbs, which have been carefully
weighted with tiny glass granules, and then topped off with the finest soft fibre.

I have weighted his suede body with a combination of baby fat and very soft fibre.

His little head has also been weighted for that natural feel, and will need to be supported, just as you would a real newborn baby.

Not only is he a realistic
looking baby, he has also been very realistically weighted.

He has not been over filled, so he will lie naturally in your arms.

He now weighs a very healthy 4Lb 2oz, and fits perfectly into size ‘Newborn/Tiny Baby’ baby clothes.

Once you pick him up, you will want to snuggle him forever!.

All of my babies are created and cared for in a smoke and pet free environment.
Sand has not been used in this baby, and so he is suitable for export from UK.

His little lips have also been hand painted in very thin transparent layers,
and triple sealed in both satin and gloss varnish for a natural moist look.

I have carefully, opened his nose, and lined his face with dark felt, so he can now ‘breathe’, giving a sense of depth and realism.

His cute button nose now looks slightly moist

I have delicately painted Carla’s tiny nail beds, and tipped them in a very soft ivory.

I then triple sealed each individual one, with a satin varnish, for that ‘freshly clipped’ look.

From the tips of his tiny toes, to every hair on his head, not a single detail has been missed, to make this little one, as realistic as they come

Carla’s hair has been rooted using a very tiny 43g needle, and the softest premium mohair, in a beautiful shade of brown.

Each strand of mohair lays the way a real baby’s hair would lie, which creates a realistic, ‘lifelike crown’.

This Mohair is the softest, that I have ever used, it really does feel like very fine, baby soft hair.

I have also sealed his’s hair on the inside, so it can be gently misted and restyled.

I think he looks adorable, when his hair is gently teased upwards, into a spikey style.

This hair has to be seen to be believed.

Carla is now considered a collectors item to be past down to generations to come therefore is certainly ‘not’ suitable for children

This baby is the result of years of experience in art in one form or another, and of over twelve years researching, developing and perfecting the art of reborning.

Once you hold this baby in your arms, you will feel sure, that you are holding a real newborn baby.

He will take your breath away with his realism

Carla is a sleeping baby, I have framed his eyes with very wispy rooted eyelashes, and then moisture has been applied for added realism.

He also has barley there, slightly textured baby eyebrows, which match his hair colour perfectly.
