Should Reborn Artists Have The Same Rights As Customers?

So you know how the saying goes “the customer is always right”?

Well what about those times when the customer simply isnt.

I have recently noticed an increase in the amount of artists that have been treated very badly by their customers.

These artists feel taken advantage of and used.

They are also helpless as everyone takes the attitude that the customer is right.

But if this customer has received their product and have then decided to try and also get their money back, basically they would get their baby for free and the artist would not only be out of pocket but also left feeling let down and unappreciated.

These babies are not a two minute thing to make.

Hours upon hours of hard work and dedication go in to making each and every one.

Some artist rely on selling babies to make a living and pay their bills.

If a scamming customer then messes with that it can hit the artist and their family hard.

If the customer has the right to cancel a purchase literally right up to the point where the doll is received by them, then why are artists not afforded that same luxury?

Why can an artist not pull out of a transaction at any point that they want?

It just seems so unfair to me, that we as the customer hold more power than the actual artist.

So I think that yes the artists should have the same rights as their customers and everyone that enters into an agreememt should abide by it.

Now I am no saint.

I have agreed to buy certain babies and have had to pull out a couple of times.

Not often I may add I think only twice over my four years in this hobby and my purchase of 30 babies.

This was due to unexpected circumstances on my part.

But what I did was contact the artists explaining what had happened and asked them what they wanted to do.

It ended very amicable and I am still friends with both the artists.

So what I would say to every customer out there is think.

Think how you would feel if your actions affected you.

Give all artists the respect they rightly deserve.
