Our Life With Reborns

Reborns are pieces of art,and beauty is in the eye of the beholder

The reborn community

The reborn community is a place where we find that we belong, there is no type that fits and all are welcome.

You dont have to look or certain way or act a certain to fit in.

So far during our four years of being a part of it we have made some good friends. We have, as i suspect we all have in this community, been the victims of hateful and hurtful comments.

We find the best way to deal with them is just to except them and respect that not everyone gets in. No two people are a like so we can not think that everyone is going to like this hobby and understand it. In fact the reverse is always more likely.

More people don’t get it than do.

But that should not stop you from being a part if thats what makes you happy.

You will find that even within the community itself people will judge you.

But on the whole we have been supported by the community and have made some great friends.

What has your experience of this community been?

    1. Hi Robyn,

My name is Caitlin Pierce and I’m an audio producer looking for a woman who would be interested in telling her story about the role of reborns in her life. I have a theory that people don’t understand reborns because our culture is uncomfortable with pregnancy loss.

The story is for the Bodies podcast (https://www.bodiespodcast.com/). Each episode is one woman’s journey to solve a mystery about her body. Bodies combines intimate, nuanced storytelling with health reporting to uncover the layers that affect women’s health, like racism, patriarchy, and capitalism. The goal of the show is to help women feel less alone in their health struggles and to share vital information. Bodies is supported by KCRW, Santa Monica’s public radio station.

Please let me know if you want to connect. My email address is caitlinhpierce@gmail.com. Thank you!

      1. Hello Caitlin. Please feel free to contact me. I would love to help if i can.
